Anchored in Tradition
Alpha Omega’s beginning traces back all the way to 1925, when a group of young women petitioned Delta Gamma for the establishment of a chapter at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. On October 11, 1930, their dreams came true, and Alpha Omega was installed as Delta Gamma’s 45th chapter. The reestablishment of our beloved Alpha Omega Chapter in fall 2016 was a huge success and our collegiate members thrive on campus. Now over 1,300 alumnae and new sisters partner in a new era dedicated to sisterhood, leadership, scholarship, philanthropy and community.
Building our Future
Home is where the heart is, and Alpha Omega’s reestablishment brought our heart back to Arkansas. However, that heart needs an updated, competitive home. To complete this vision as planned, the Alpha Omega House Association has partnered with Core Architects of Rogers, Arkansas, and Michael G. Imber Architects of San Antonio, Texas to build a new chapter house at 625 W. Maple. Our Maple Street frontage spans the entire block between Arkansas Avenue and Gregg Street.
Our new home will accommodate a chapter of 400+ members and compete at the highest level with other new facilities in the community. Construction on the chapter house will begin in spring 2018 and will conclude in August 2019 just in time for formal recruitment.
